Vikramshila is an education resource organization working in various states throughout the country and is recognized by the MHRD as a national level technical agency on Teacher Education.
Vikramshila has been working in the area of teacher education since 1989. The focus of their work is in on development of training modules, manuals for teachers, curriculum development and development of high quality teaching learning materials.
Through their engagement with diverse partners in different parts of the country, Vikramshila has developed an understanding of professional development of teachers right from early childhood to secondary levels of education. They have used this knowledge and experience to partner with government agencies and systems to build the capabilities of teachers and other important functionaries. They have reached out to 30,000 government school teachers at the elementary level.
Vikramshila’s Integrated Approach to Technology in Education – Government Madrasahs intervention is being supported by Rukmani Trusts since January 1st, 2021.
ITE is a Tata Trusts initiative and is resourced by Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.
Rukmani Trust has committed to fund Vikramishila to help them continue their efforts in reaching out to students and teachers during the Covid-19 crisis.
