Established in 2014, Rukmani Trust is a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) set up by professionals from diverse fields. The Trust will focus on bridging the rural-urban digital divide in education using the power of technology to create an empowered India.
Technology has transformed the delivery of education. The Covid-19 pandemic has further propelled the need to reinvent new ways to reach education online. The lack of infrastructure and resources have prevented communities in rural India to participate in this transformation.
Rukmani Trust is taking up initiatives to partner with Technology providers, Educationists and NGOs, who share a similar vision to empower rural India and ensure inclusive education.
The Board of Trustees come with years of corporate experience in diverse fields, with a vision to build a professionally managed NGO. In addition to pledging monetary support towards the initiative, the Trustees will ensure funding through corporate partnerships.

Krishnan comes with 4 decades of experience in mainstream media.
Krishnan has measured the pulse of media across the globe and has worked on many government & industry initiatives including the privatisation of FM radio & 24×7 news broadcast.
Gitanjali Krishnan Talwar
Gitanjali is a dynamic professional with nearly three decades of rich & extensive experience in education.
Gitanjali continuously involves herself in various humanitarian activities and education awareness programs, involving parents and teachers.
Shibu Das
Shibu is a Chartered Accountant with over three decades of experience in investment advisory and wealth management through his firm – Fine Advice, East India’s most trusted and leading advisory firm.
Shibu is a Certified CSR Professional, and is among the first 200 people in India to complete ICAI’s certification on Corporate Social Responsiblity.
Shibu also believes in empowerment and engages in charitable work through the ‘Fine Advice Foundation’.
Gopalan Jai Shankar
Shankar is a post-graduate in Business Management and has comprehensive experience of over three decades in behavioural training and sales & distribution management.
Shankar has a passion for career guidance and counselling and has assisted over 500,000 students in making informed career choices.
