In India, education is the fundamental right of every child as guaranteed by the Constitution. The Right to Education Act provides free and compulsory education to children between the age group 6 to 14.

The performance of students in rural India is severely impacted by the absence of resources and lack of quality education.

At Rukmani Trust, our mission is to provide quality education in rural India using the power of technology.

Established in 2014, Rukmani Trust is a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) set up by professionals.
To create an empowered India, the Trust will leapfrog in bridging the rural-urban digital divide in education, using the Power of Technology.
In addition to pledging monetary support towards the initiative, The Board of Trustees bring years of corporate experience from diverse fields.

Rukmani Trust has embarked on an ambitious mission to bridge India’s digital divide and address the lack of educational resources in rural India.

The Trust is supporting a range of organizations to fulfill this endeavour.

India’s rapid shift to online teaching in response to the pandemic ignores our immense digital divide — with embedded gender and class divides.

In an effort to address the digital divide and promote inclusion, Rukmani Trust has teamed up with Budli and Cashify and started a movement to encourage people to donate functional devices.
