Choma Eagles: Building confidence through education and sports

A group of young girls coming from very poor families in Choma Village, Gurugram are getting football training & are being taught English & Computer by a small group of dedicated samaritans.

Choma Eagles
Choma Eagles – the trust and the football team – derive their name from Choma village, the place where most of these girls live. The trust is working in tandem with the Govt policy of promoting the girl child through ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao”. Choma Eagles have, in fact, taken this idiom a step further and renamed it as “Beti bachao, Beti Padhao, Beti Khilao” by ensuring these under privileged girls get physically fit by playing football.

While the trust wants to ensure we make these underprivileged girls under their wings the future FOOT BALL STARS, it also focuses on their
all-round development so that they are able to earn a decent living and financially support their families.

This is where Rukmani Trust steps in. Rukmani Trust has funded 20 dongles (data cards) for girl students & recently funded English Bolo license.

EnglishBolo is an AI-powered English learning app designed to help learners improve their spoken English. This is a 100-day program.
The students have shown improvement in their English vocabulary & we expect further improvement soon.

Rukmani Trust is also supporting Choma Eagles with Preetie Bindra a wonderful volunteer & leadership coach, sharing amazing & inspiring stories online.
