Supporting TISS in implementing LeapQuest

Leapquest/Webquest is a self-paced course designed by TISS, with Rukmani Trust’s support, which delved into the concept of inquiry-based and problem-based learning activities for students using technology.

WebQuest as an example for technology-enabled inquiry-based learning was introduced in the course for learners including a practice assignment of planning and designing a WebQuest for students. Completion of these activities with required criteria led to receiving of the Digital Badge.

This course is offered to teachers and teacher educators also as an initiative to celebrate ‘Teacher Appreciation Month’ by CETE, TISS.

Students not only created their own designed games but also other artefacts to sensitize the community about ways of reducing carbon footprint so that our future can breathe in a carbon free environment.

On the Final Day, students interacted with eminent personalities to explore career aspirations in the field of Environment.

Course Objectives

During this course, the learners were able to-

Explore inquiry-based learning and technology applications that nurture it
Design and implement a WebQuest plan as a technology-enabled inquiry-based learning activity for students.

Requirements

A smart phone with internet to access the course.
A computer/smart phone with internet access to complete and attempt activities.
